STOKES, Jean Margaret (Plumondon)- Peacefully, at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Thursday, March 19th, 2020, with her family by her side. She was 89. Loving wife for 62 years to the late George Stokes. Cherished and devoted mother of Karen Thompson (David), Janice McGillis (Robert) and David Stokes. Nana Jean will be sadly missed by her granddaughters Kathleen (Dean), Shannon (Skyler), Olivia (Lee)and Anna, great-granddaughter Charlotte and great-grandson Zachary. Survived by her brother, Carl MacDougal (late Jean) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Jean and Charlotte (Shaw) Plamondon, sister Hilda Ault (late Charles), and brothers Leon Plamondon (late Madeleine), Gordon Plumondon (Norma), Fraser MacDougal and Earl MacDougal (late Beth).

Cremation services entrusted to the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from City Hall) Cornwall. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations to Hospice Cornwall would be appreciated by the family.
