Jeanne Lapierre

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Marie Jeanne Mae Lapierre (née Levert), on April 19, 2025, at the age of 78, after a courageous and grace-filled battle with ALS. Surrounded by the love of her family in the comfort of her home, Jeanne left this world just as she lived in it—wrapped in kindness, strength, and unwavering faith.

Jeanne was born on July 15, 1946, to Conrad and Lucille Levert (née Massie). She grew up in a close-knit family, the beloved sister of Jean-Paul (predeceased), Claudette Emond, Pierrette Larocque, Gérald (predeceased), and Gilles.

On April 15, 1967, Jeanne married the love of her life, Moses “Bud” Lapierre. Together, they built a warm and welcoming home in Alexandria, Ontario, where they raised three daughters who were the light of her life: Natalie Wright (married to William Wright), Nancy Charbonneau (married to Jean-Pierre Charbonneau), and Brenda Lee Lapierre (married to Luc Cholette). Her legacy continues through her nine grandchildren (Curtis, Joshua, Austin, Marissa, Braelyn, Ryan, Dylan, Jenna and Nigel) and eight great-grandchildren (Huxley, Everlee-Mae, Silas, Juniper, Arlo, Payton, Ariane, and Colton), all of whom knew her as “grand-maman” or “Mammie”—titles she wore with immense pride and boundless love.
