May 6th, 1946 – December 4th 2019
On December 4th, 2019 at 73 years of age, John Robert Dusseault of Moose Creek, formally of Cambridge Ontario, passed away peacefully.
John is survived by his wife Doreen (nee Smith), his daughter Jennifer and her husband Ben Carter, his son Jeffery and his wife Cristina Haynes. His grandchildren, Brianna, Sofia, Melanie, Mia, Darian, Alisha, Hayden, Maddison and Carter. His brother Ted and wife Shirley and niece Lisa (Danny) and great niece Cassidy, his nephew Steven (Amanda) and great niece Kali. He was predeceased by his father Joseph Arthur (1994), his mother Dorothy (nee Johnson, 2005), his brothers, Rick (Big George), Jimmy, Dougie, Mike, and David.
John was born in Montreal, one of seven boys, with many illuminating stories of their life growing up together. He graduated from Father MacDonald high school in 1962. John and Doreen would have celebrated 50 years of marriage this year, having been married in Montreal on June 25th, 1970. They migrated to Ontario in the 70s, recently relocating to Moose Creek to be closer to their family and lifelong friends in Montreal.
John worked hard his entire life supporting his family in the Pharmaceutical Industry, then in the Hotel Amenities Industry, eventually running his own business until he unofficially retired and bought a motorcycle again.
John was a great husband, father, brother and friend. He loved to play the Eagles loudly on Sunday mornings. He was famous for his 5 hour trips to go get milk. He could tell you a story about the time…
John’s wishes were to be cremated and a small informal wake will be held on Saturday December 14th from 2-5pm, at the clubhouse in the rear of 65 Sabourin Street, Moose Creek. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Gentleman’s Ride would be welcomed. www.gentlemansride.com
