John Fennell

September 25, 1945 – December 17, 2020

John Robert Fennell, Hamilton Island and Kanata, formerly of Burlington, passed away in Ottawa after a brief illness.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife Judy (Kiss), and their daughter and son, Kelly McDade (Scott), Calgary, and Stephen Fennell (Laurie McBride), Burlington. John also knew the joy of his grandchildren, Melissa (Kenny), Ethan and Hannah McDade, and Emeline and Sydney Fennell.
Son of the late Isobel Cameron Fennell and Stanley E. Fennell. Survived by his sister, Margaret- Ann Boyd (John) and ‘UJ’ to Robert Boyd (Catherine) and Andrea Boyd McNally (Chris) and their daughters, Victoria and Darcy Boyd and Madison McNally.
John had a lifetime career with the Royal Bank primarily in the Toronto area. He loved waterskiing as a youngster, cruising on The St. Lawrence River through to his adulthood, and had a great interest in football, both playing and as a spectator. In addition to his pastimes, John’s favourite spot was always in close proximity to the mighty St. Lawrence.
