HOWARD, John, Long time OPP dispatcher with the Long Sault detachment. At the Cornwall Community Hospital Hospital on Saturday December 14, 2019. He was 85. He leaves his loving wife of 61 years, Eileen (Benoit) Howard. Loving father of Debbie Froats (Perry), late Gay Howard Lanoue (Perry) and Wendy Morrow. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Casey Schofield (Evan), Courtney Spicer (Jason), Shane Froats (Zoé), Amanda Froats (Braedon), Ashley Morrow and Faith Morrow and his great-grandchildren, Lily, Brydan, Aiden, Jaxson, Alexandra and Grayson. Cherished brother of Lloyd Nicholson, Estelle Howard (Damon) and Margaret Quenneville (Louis). John will be sadly missed by his sister-in-law, Alice Cryderman (Harry) and his brother-in-law, Cecil Benoit (Sue) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Chester and Elizabeth (Ongo) Howard, his brother Wallace Howard (Diane), and his niece Brenda Brunet. Family and friends will be received at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Saturday from 9:30-11am followed by Funeral Liturgy at 11am in the chapel of the funeral home. Rite of Committal, at Woodlawn Cemetery Cemetery, at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Hospice Cornwall would be appreciated by the family.
