Our family has lost our braveheart, Jonathan Cressy Handy, who passed peacefully, surrounded by his best friend, his wife Brenda, and his family, after a short, courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, November 19th, 2021. Jon is survived by his loving wife Brenda Walker-Handy and his children Bryan Handy (Julia), Heather Handy (Jeremiah) and Ashley Handy (Donnie). Much loved grandfather to Blair, Tucker, Miah, and Brielle. Jon is also survived by his devoted and caring siblings Penny Stokes (Rob), Peter Handy (Barb), and David Handy (Brenda), and much loved by many nieces and nephews. Jon is predeceased by his mother Hazelann and his father Colin. He is also predeceased by his brother Richard Handy. Jon so loved his work at TMI Climate Solutions in Pointe Claire, Quebec, where he worked as a CAD programmer, and befriended all he met. Jon enjoyed the game of golf with his brothers Pete and David, and his buddy Brendon Hunt. Jon also loved playing his Joe Satriani guitar, camping, cycling and kayaking. Many thanks to the Walker family for the rigorous training program. Jon loved every moment of it! Special thanks to Brendon and Karen Hunt who took Jon on as a little brother, in the Big Brother program 48 years ago and strong. Everlasting love xxxooo. A private celebration of Jon’s life will be attended by family and close friends at Lahaie and Sullivan Funeral Homes West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482).
