It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Rolland at the Maxville Manor on Saturday, February 15, 2025, age 98 years. Beloved husband of the late Flavie Sabourin. Step father of Pauline Papineau (Roger Favreau), father of Michael Rolland and Charlene Rolland. Cherished grandfather of Kevin, Shawn, Christine, Kimberley, Tammy, Dillon, Devon, Cody, Manon, Dominique, Nathalie, Alain, Charles, Joel and great-grandfather of several great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents, Lawrence Rolland and Cecilia (nee Gaines), his siblings Ray Rolland, Lloyd Rolland, Clara Viau, and Ida Coleman. Joseph is also sadly predeceased by his daughter Johanne Lalonde (Harry), his step son Lucien Papineau (late Cecile), and his grandchildren Gaetan and Rachel.
Visitations will be held at Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., (20 Main Street, Maxville) on Friday February 28th from 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday March 1st, in St. James Catholic Church at 11 am. Burial will be held at a later date. As expression of sympathies donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
