With great sadness, the family announces the passing of Josephine Mary Jacques (née Flaro) at the age of 87 on January 7th, 2022. Predeceased by her partner Allan Murphy, parents John and Adeline (Edna) Flaro, 4 sisters and 6 brothers. Survived by one brother Leo Flaro (Sylvia). Beloved mother of Doreen (Jacques Kahalé), Judith (Michael Savic), Allen Jacques (Jo-Anne), Nancy (Steve Saucier), Karen Jacques (Eric Irvine), Lynn (Grant Leslie). Adored by her grandchildren, Amanda (Tom Gibbons), Natalie (John Green), Justin Kahalé (Éliane), Nicole (Marty Cayer), Lisa (Eli Bell), Noland Jacques (Alison), Devon (Marshall Faubert), Megan Leslie (Julian), Zoë Irvine (Rob), Kalyn Jacques, Rebecca Savic, Mathew Leslie, and Brady Irvine. Josephine cherished her great grandchildren Chloë, Ariel, Johnny, Sophie, Abigail, Jayce, Emilee, Hunter, Harrison, Evelyn, and Hector. “Aunt Joey” will be dearly missed by her niece Elaine McIntyre. Special thanks to the staff at Valley Garden Retirement Home and St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre, Cornwall. Donations can be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
