Karen Tammy Dunbar (Hopps)

Passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025, at the age of 50 surrounded by family at the Cornwall Community Hospital.
Born in Magog, Quebec and following a happy childhood, Karen moved to Ontario to pursue her academic studies in the field of law enforcement. She found her calling in public service and while working as a proud Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Officer in Cornwall, met her husband Murray Dunbar of Finch. Together, they built a loving life and family and welcomed with joy their children Jacob and Katelyn.

In addition to her husband and children, Karen leaves behind to mourn and remember her beloved mother Denise (Frechette) Hopps of Magog, QC; her treasured sisters Christine Hopps of France, Linda Morgan (William) of Gander, NL and Tina Ferrarotti (Terrence) of Harwinton, CT; her in-laws John and Christena Dunbar of Finch, Lorie (Derrick) and Nancy (Gilles) of Ottawa; and her niece and nephews Terrance (Sheray), Justin (Anna), Marie and Patrick. Karen is predeceased by her father Terrance Hopps.
