Keith Christie
23 March, 1949 – 4 January, 2021.
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Keith on Monday, January 4, 2021 at age 71. He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Avis (née Broome), his son Ian (Kirsten), brothers Archie and Jack, and sister Charlene Pruner (née Christie) as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and life-long friends. He will be sadly missed by family and close friends. Predeceased by his father Archie Albert Christie and his mother Rita (nee Duhaime). Cremation has taken place. Spring internment at Woodlawn Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the OSPCA of SD&G would be greatly appreciated.
Keith was a well-respected auto-mechanic in the area for many years but he is probably best known for his devotion to family and lasting friendships; his love of animals in general but most especially dogs and horses; providing a lending a hand whenever needed; and, having a fondness for merriment. He loved the outdoors and winter weather in particular; so, it is not surprising that he enjoyed snowmobiling until he was sidelined by an unrelated injury.
