1933 – 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth McDonald on Monday, April 21, 2025 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Alma McDonald (nee Taylor). Loving father of Stephen McDonald (Valerie), Margaret Wheeler (Garry), Heather Stang (Steve), Joanne Haley (Bob) and the late Sharon McDonald. Proud grandfather of Sandy, Anthony (Ashley), Keshia (Shayne), Melissa (Mike), Michael (Alyson), Laura (Trevor), Sarah (Brandon), Emily (Kyle), Andrew, Shelby (Austin), Derek (Tia), the late Ryan Haley and 10 great grandchildren. Kenneth will be missed by his sisters Marina Beaudette (late Emile), Doreen Bray (late Phillip), Hilda Shields (late Bernie), Linda Diguer (Jack), and many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents William & Emily McDonald (nee Sloan), his brothers Clarence McDonald (Anne), Earl McDonald, and sister Evelyn Maloney (late Wilfred).
Kenneth was a retired dairy farmer, maple syrup producer and former co-owner of the “Minute Auto Wash”, Cornwall. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and he spent countless hours as an avid volunteer in various organizations throughout his lifetime.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Amy Martell (Bayshore Health Care Nurse) and the staff at Chateau Cornwall for their compassionate care and support.
Visitation will take place Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 2-4pm, and 7-9pm. On Monday, April 28, visitation will take place from 9-10am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church at 10:30 am.
Memorial donations can be made to St. Andrew’s Parish” for the Restoration Fund.
