It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Gerald Smith on Wednesday, September 29th, 2021 at Cornwall Hospice at the age of 59 years. Beloved husband of Brenda Smith (née Hughes) of Williamstown. Loving step-father of Melissa McBean (Matt) of St. Andrew’s West and Steven McIntyre (Mel) of Cornwall. Cherished grandfather of Madisyn. Beloved son of Gerald Smith and Margery Smith (née Murray) of Cornwall. Dear brother of Deborah Smith (Stuart Thomson) of Williamstown, Sandra Hambleton (Blake) of Lancaster and Kent Smith (Kristina) of Guelph. Kevin will be missed by his nieces and nephews; Mackenzie, Kylie, Trent, Drew, Emmett and Eva and by his numerous nieces and nephews from the Hughes family. Beloved son-in-law of the late Ellis Hughes and the late Annabelle Hughes. Dear brother-in-law of Nancy Trottier (Robert) of Lancaster, David Hughes (Evelyn) of Maxville and Mavis Hughes of Cornwall.
Attendance controlled visitation will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt St. Cornwall, On (613)-938-3888 on Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. & 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Monday, October 4th, 2021 from Noon until time of service. The Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 4th, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Funeral Home. For those who wish to attend the controlled Funeral Service MUST CALL 613-938-3888 to reserve a time to attend. Masks and physical distancing are required at all gatherings. Interment will take place at a later date in Salem United Cemetery, Summerstown. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial donations to the Cornwall Hospice or to the Summerstown Trails would be appreciated by the family.
