It Is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Malcolm Smith at the age of 63, on April 11, 2025 at Bridgepoint Health, in Toronto.
Kevin graduated from Queen’s University in Kingston in 1985 with a Degree in Business Commerce. He then moved to Toronto where he worked as Assistant Manager, then Manager of Consumers Distributing. Shortly after that, taking a position as Manager at Simpsons flagship store. In 1990, he bought a town house and advanced his career by landing a job at Wellesley Hospital doing training and facilitation work. He worked there till the Hospital closed in 1998 and landed his final career position working for the City of Toronto in 1999 where he worked as an Organizational Development Consultant. His story telling and humour were legendary and served him well in delivering valuable change management and training support to Corporate and City Department clients. Although retiring in 2017, he maintained many friendships who all are now mourning the loss of this special man.
Kevin lived in Toronto for 40 years and had many close friends he called family. Along with these friends, his family in Cornwall will miss him deeply.
Cherished sibling of Karen Smith (Mike Marsolais) and Kim Smith. Treasured uncle of Stefanie, Reid, Jamie-Lyn, Mandon (Ashley), Michaela (Dan Graham), Brodie, and great-uncle of Kolton, Zoey and Kane. Kevin is predeceased by his parents Ken Smith and Joan Smith (née Clark), his brother Daryl Smith, his nephew Ryan and his niece Ashleigh.
Resting at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, Ontario, K6J 3S2 on May 10th, 2025 from 9AM – 10:30AM, followed by a Funeral Ceremony held in the chapel of the Funeral home at 11AM.
As expressions of sympathy memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
