LAFAVE, Lawrence Stanley- Long time custodian for the SDG Public School Board and Laurencrest Youth Services. At the Cornwall Community Hospital on Friday July 24, 2020. He was 82. He leaves his loving wife of 55 years, Claudette (Mayer) Lafave. Loving father of Sherry-Lynn Karsch (Stefan) and Kevin Lafave (Rollanda). Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Nikolaus Karsch, Christopher Karsch, Michael Karsch (Jessica Thompson) and Kyle Karsch and his great-grandchildren, Amelia, Logan and Oliver. Survived by his sister, Shirley Larente (Eddy). Lawrence is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Percy and Violet (Cardinal) Lafave, his brother, Roger Lafave (Lorna) and his sister, Mary Lafave. Due to COVID-19 restrictions funeral arrangements are private. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall. Rite of Committal at Notre Dame Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and volunteers that took very good care of Lawrence during this final days, it is truly appreciated.
