It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Léo-Paul Lacelle on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the Cornwall Community Hospital at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband and companion for 62 years of Huguette Lacelle (née Dulude). Loving father of Daniel, Sylvain (Lynn) and Martine Morin (Shane) all of Cornwall. Cherished grandfather of Eric, Stephanie, Melanie (Jonny) and Matthew (Elizabeth) and great-grandfather of Vanessa, Oakley, Alayna, Ashton, Peyton and Eliana. Dear brother of Colette Biard of Gatineau, QC. Léo-Paul was a long time member of the KOC Council 9929. He is predeceased by his parents; Jean-Baptiste Lacelle and Lucia Lacelle (née Morin), his brothers; Exal, Wilfrid, Conrad and Philippe, his sisters; Soeur Saint Auréa (Laurentia), Rita Blondin, Fleur-Ange Tessier and Pauline Taylor.
Attendance controlled visitation will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt St. Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888) on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, January 28, 2022 in St-Felix de Valois Church at 11 a.m. followed by cremation. Due to capacity restrictions, we encourage guests to reserve a time at www.wilsonfuneralhome.ca or phone 613-938-3888 to attend the visitation or service. Masks and physical distancing are required at all gatherings.
Des visites contrôlées auront lieu au Salon Funéraire Wilson, 822 rue Pitt, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888) le jeudi 27 janvier, 2022 de 14H00 à 16H00 et de 19H00 à 21H00. La messe funéraire aura lieu le vendredi 28 janvier, 2022 en l’église St-Felix de Valois à 11H00. Suivi par l ’incineration.
