Léona Marie – Ange (Marion) Léger
It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Léona Léger on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 in her 96th year.
After 30 years of living with the cherished memory of her husband, soul mate Laurier, Léona is now reunited with him, where they will be together again, side by side, in eternal peace.
Léona’s life was marked by her unwavering love for her family and her absence will be deeply felt. Dearly loved mother of Marcel (Shirley), André (Shelley), Ginette (Réjean Séguin) and Sylvie (Michel Moise). She leaves a legacy of love through her grandchildren Jamie (Roxanne), Jason, Kim (Mike), Stéphanie (Scott), Mélanie (Brad) and Michelle (Jared) and her great-grandchildren Brayden, Brodie, Sophia, Delaney, Brooklyn and Logan, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She is survived by her sister Lucienne Nadon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Léona led a long and fulfilling life, close to family creating memories that all of us will forever hold dear.
Léona was the beloved daughter of the late Emile and Vinalda (née Blanchard) Marion. She is pre-deceased by her brothers Fernand (late Thérèse), Laurier, Jean-Paul (late Lorraine), Albert (late Lorraine) and two sisters Réjeanne Brunet (late Roy) and Madeleine Léger (late Percy).
In keeping with Léona’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lahaie and Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, East Branch, 614 First Street East (613-933-2841).
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
