It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Léopold Thériault surrounded by his loving family at the Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge on Thursday April 10th, 2025 at the age of 88 years. Cherished husband of 64 years to Clarisse Thériault (née Chénard). Loving father of Etienne Thériault (Shelley Graveley), Martin Thériault (Lynn Watson), Nathalie Archambault (Kevin) and Lysiane Caparelli (Vincenzo). Treasured “Grand-papa” of Philip Thériault (Sarah), Stéphanie Cholette (Cody), Jasmine Allaire (Martin), Danielle Thériault (Myles), Eric Archambault (Morgan), Brandon Archambault (Savannah), Carson (Maryse), Amanda (Michael), Summer (Dylan) and Samantha (Josh) and great “grand-papa of Harper-Rose, Hannan, Adréanne, Rémie, Jade, Lenora, Harrison, Lennon, Cara, Jack and Cooper. He is survived by his sister Gemma Thériault. Léopold will be greatly missed by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Alexis and Marie-Louise Thériault (née Côté) and by 7 brothers, Fernand, Roméo, Alonzo, Léon, Léonard, Alphonse and Gérard and by 4 sisters, Angélina, Lucille, Hélèna and Adrienne.
Honoring Léopold’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Léopold’s family invites all family and friends to gather for a time of visitation and remembrance on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888). Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 26th, 2025 at St-Felix-de-Valois Church. A private committal will take place at a later date in Notre-Dame Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge for their compassionate care and dedication.
