PELLETIER, Lina (née Marcil) – Mrs. Lina Pelletier at the Cornwall Community Hospital – McConnell Site on Thursday July 2, 2020 at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife of the late René Pelletier. Much loved mother of Charline Upper (Gary). Loved grandmother to her only grandson Austin Upper (Natalie). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Omer and Alexina (née Amyotte) Marcil; and all her siblings Roméo, Georges, Emile, Valéda Latour, Juliette Desjardins, Berthe Desjardins, Alcide, Lucien, Annette Godard, and Rita Moon. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Rite of Committal Notre Dame Cemetery, Cornwall. If so desired contributions in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. The family wishes to extend special thanks and appreciation to Dr. Diane Poilly for her compassionate care. As well, the St. Elizabeth Nursing team and Bayshore and Carefor staff whom she called her “special girls”. Special mention to Natalie, Amanda, Rebecca, Lee-Ann, Diana, Kylie, Melanie and Linda; you have all gone above and beyond to care for my mother. Your kindness will always be remembered.
