LEGER, Lucien Rene “Smokey” – Peacefully on Friday September 20, 2019. He was 93. He leaves his loving wife of almost 70 years, Jean (Anderson) Leger. Loving father of Karen Lauzon (Rick), Alan Leger (Denise), Daryl Leger (Micheline), Brian Leger, Mark Leger, Brenda Ferguson (Rickey), Sandra Lascelle (John) and father figure to Amanda St. Louis (Joe). Sadly missed by 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Survived by 2 brothers, and 8 sisters. Smokey will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Wilfred and Irene (Dumond) Leger, one grand-daughter, one brother and two sisters. Cremation services entrusted to the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall. Family and friends are requested to assemble at St. Francis de Sales Church on Saturday September 28, 2019 at 10am for Funeral Mass. Rite of Committal to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Hospice Cornwall would be appreciated by the family.
