DEROUIN, Lucille – at the Cornwall Community Hospital 3 days after her 99th birthday, on Wednesday November 17th, 2021. She was our giant, the link to our past and the path forward all at once. Lucille Marie Louise Derouin (née Brière), beloved wife of the late Philippe Derouin. Loving mother to Raymond (Josie), Aline Lauzon (the late Bernie), and the late Claude (the late Earl Dapo). Proud grandmother of Daniel, Andrea, Dennis and Claude. Great-grandmother to Keith, Kirkland, Connor, Olivia, Declan, Lexus, Brooklyn, Jailynn and Delilah; and great great-grandmother to Owen. Dear sister of Jérôme and René. Predeceased by her parents Alexandre and Aldina (née Godard) Brière. Also predeceased by her brothers Roméo, Léo, Florian, Arsène, Gerry (Doris), and Philippe Brière, and by her sisters Jeannette Montpetit, Irene Waite, Florence Brière, Florence Brunet and Thérèse Roseberry. Will be especially missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Arrangements are under the care of Lahaie and Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, 614 1st St. East, Cornwall, Ont. A funeral Mass will be held at Nativity Church on Tuesday November 30th, at 1pm. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 297 or Filles D’Isabelle, N.D. Des Sts.
