Lucy Valentia Hill (Ruest)
Hill (Ruest) Lucy – It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing on Sept 22, 2019 at the Cornwall Hospice at the age of 87. She will be sadly missed by her 7 children, Marjorie Beachamp, Gail (Rolland) Morin, Audrey (Andre) Labrecque, Bertha (Wayne) Poitras, Gail Hill, Archie (Betty-Ann) Hill and Richard Hill. She was a proud and loving Nanny to 19 grandchildren and 29 great-granchildren.
She is predeceased by her parents Hector and Alberta Ruest and 18 siblings. She has 9 surviving siblings.
Lucy was a kind soft hearted person who felt everyone’s pain. She would give her last dime to help someone or make them smile, and always thought of others before herself. She will be fondly remembered by many. She loved fishing, Bingo and scratch tickets, but she especially loved to cook for everyone and always added that special ingredient (a whole lot of love) to make it taste better. “Mom we know you are at peace now but we all have heavy hearts missing you. Know that you are greatly loved.”
Services will be held at St Peters Church Friday Sept 27th, 2019 at 11:00 with the burial being held after the service at Nativity Cemetery then a luncheon to follow. As expressions of sympathies, donations to Cornwall Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
