Luigia “Gina” Daniele

DANIELE, Luigia (Gina) In Italy on September 2, 2020 at the age of 89 years. Gina Daniele peacefully passed surrounded by family and friends. Gina, beloved wife of the late Vincenzo, loving mother to Josie Gadbois (Michel), cherished grandmother (Nonna) to Vincent (Naomi) and Mario, dear great-grandmother (Nonna Gina) to Nilla and Veeka. She was the last surviving sibling of the thirteen children of Salvatore Palmiero and Giuseppa DeRosa.
Gina, who immigrated to Canada in 1957, was a multifaceted, hardworking, devout Catholic. On several occasions, she opened both her heart and her home to enable others to settle in Canada. She was an amazing cook who loved sharing her culinary skills and creations with family and friends. She even opened her own restaurant. Was well known in her parish as a Christian who lived her faith by her thoughtful actions and generous deeds. She was a strong-willed woman who would get things done. She was an accomplished seamstress who studied her trade from the tender age of nine.
