Madelyn Milne (Ryan)
Wednesday, December 8th, 1926 – Sunday, November 8th, 2020
Madelyn Milne , nee Ryan, passed away on Sunday November 8th at the Montfort Hospital In Ottawa at the age of 93. Madelyn was the dear wife of the late Ronald James Milne and the loving mother of the late Randy Milne, the late Laurie Milne (Daniel Quance) and Jeffrey Milne (Deborah O’Connor). She was the warm and caring Grandma to Ryan Quance (Marianne), Simon Quance(Sarah) and Julie Quance (Nicholas), Ronald Milne, Andrew Milne and Thomas Milne. Madelyn was also a Great Grandmother to Lillian Quance, Maya Quance and Oscar Quance.
Originally from Montreal, Madelyn and Ronald moved to Lancaster in 1969 to raise their family. Madelyn was an intelligent, curious and adventuresome lady. She loved to travel and read, was always willing to try new things; a true life-long learner. Nothing brought Madelyn greater pleasure than to spend time with children. She was a fantastic Grandma who relished every opportunity to be involved in the life of her grandchildren. She was endlessly patient and caring and a natural teacher. Madelyn was always happy to babysit children in the neighbourhood and made a big impact on so many. She loved to visit and socialize with her friends and neighbours and truly had the gift of the gab. She will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure to know her beautiful soul. Final funeral arrangements will be deferred until a time when those close to her can travel to share in the celebration of her life.
