Marcel Joseph Lapierre

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marcel, on Friday, March 4, 2022. He was 72. Loving husband of Suzanne (Lauzon) Lapierre. Cherished father of Richard “Rick” Lapierre (Jennifer Williams) and Julie Hollingsworth (Nathan). Sadly missed by his granddaughters, Kari and Addison Hollingsworth. Loving brother of Ren Lapierre (late Jacqueline), Armand Lapierre (Claudia), Anita Barque (late Nelson) and Adrienne Taylor (John). Marcel will also be remembered by his brothers-in-law and sistersin-law, Lorraine Cardinal (Ronald “Ron”), Michel “Mike” Lauzon (Marilyn), Denise Lapierre (Michel “Mitch”) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, William and Marguerite (Jeaurond) Lapierre and his sister Murielle Boissonneault (late Jean-Yves). Funeral arrangements entrusted to the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall. Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 22, 2022 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Family and friends are requested to assemble at St. Peter’s Church on Wednesday March 23, 2022 at 11am for Funeral Mass. Those attending are required to wear a face mask. Rite of Committal to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
