At the Ottawa General Hospital on Thursday, February 4, 2021. Margaret Ellen Hamilton (nee McDonald) of Ottawa; age 95 years. Beloved wife of the late William J. Hamilton. Loving mother of Kevin McDonald Hamilton (Kathryn). Predeceased by her parents Pipe Major Angus Duncan McDonald and Janet Anne MacDonald; two sons William and Gary; and brothers Angus (Margaret & Helen), Duncan (Martine), Hugh (Connie & Isobel), Donald (late Joan) and sister Anne Belair (Harry). Survived by two sisters; Mary Foster (Charlie), Hazel McDonald, and one brother Ewen McDonald (Agnes). Margaret was proud of her four grandchildren: Lina, Leam, Shane and Shawna and her seven great-grandchildren: Jordan, Ashley, Ava, Caleb, Alexia, Cameron and Evelyn. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772). Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be a Private Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Finnan’s Cathedral. Spring Interment will in the Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
