Margaret Gail Mason of Cornwall, in her 78th year. After a valiant struggle with COVID-19, at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. Margaret is predeceased by her mother and father, Amy and James Freeman, her sister, Beth, and her husband, Norman. She is survived by her sons Stephen (Valerie), Darrin (Pierre), and Jody. She also leaves her grandchildren, Joseph, Jessika, Calvin, Kyle, and Titus.
Born in Ottawa and a life-long member of Cornwall First Baptist Church, Margi is remembered for her clear, pitch-perfect singing voice in its choirs, and her friendly presence at its services. She is also well-known for her colourful Christmas displays over the years that brought cheer to friends and neighbours
In her youth, Margi was a frequent model for Leslie’s Ladies Wear on Cornwall TV station, CJSS-TV. She also belonged to the Cornwall Light Car Association, winning various “powder puff” slalom races.
Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Cornwall Community Hospital for their compassionate care. A memorial service in her honour will be held at a later date.
