It is with deep sadness, that we announce the passing of Marie Patricia Labossière (née Thibodeau) at the age of 87 years on Thursday, December 26th, 2024 at The Ottawa Heart Institute surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife and best friend of 63 years to Yvon Labossière. Loving mother of Yvonne Bakker (John), Jacques Labossière, Robert Labossière (Catherine), Denis Labossière (Sheila), and Juliette Labossière. Cherished grandmother of Katherine (Travis), Elizabeth (Scott), Johanna (Chris), Kyra, Teagan, Alyssa (Qaid), Ashleigh (Jeff), Sadie, Zander, Marc, Charles, and Félix. Cherished great-grandmother to Sophie, Isla, and the late Charlotte. Dear sister of Marleen Hockin, Louise Marsh, and Rick Thibodeau. Marie will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Charles Thibodeau and Mary Thibodeau (née Witherly).
The family of Marie warmly invites all family and friends to gather for a time of visitation and remembrance at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888) from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm, on January 10th, 2025. A memorial mass will take place at St. Francis de Sales Church on Saturday, January 11th, 2025 at 11:00 am. Memorial donations to The Ottawa Heart Institute, Children’s Treatment Centre, or St. Vincent de Paul would be appreciated.
