It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Marielle Lacelle (née Menard) on Sunday, August 13th, 2023 at the Ottawa General Hospital at the age of 71 years. Beloved wife for 51 years of Jacques Lacelle. Loving mother of Patrick Lacelle (Mélanie) of Cantley, QC and Luc Lacelle (Cindy Lynn) of Cornwall. Cherished grandmother of Isabelle, Sarah, Emery, Sophia and the late Emil Lacelle. Dear sister of Ghislaine Rozon (Bernard) and Lise Boyer (Bill) both of Cornwall. Treasured aunt of Sylvie Menard (Andre). Marielle will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews, the Lacelle family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents; Wilfred Menard and Laurentia Menard (née Lefebvre) and by her brothers; Claude Menard (Raymonde) and Guy Menard (late Lise). The family will be in attendance at Boulerice Funeral Home, 218 Montreal Road, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888) on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, August 24th, 2023 at St. Peter’s Church at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy donations to Cornwall Hospice would be appreciated by the family or prepare a traditional family meal and share it with your loved ones as Marielle often did.
