LAWN, Marion Doris – peacefully at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Center on Thursday, May 20, 2021. Marion (née MacDougall) Lawn of Cornwall; age 98. Beloved wife of the late Charles Norman Lawn. Dear sister of Mary Chisholm (Donald) of Cornwall and Ranald MacDougall of Green Valley. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by her parents Edgar MacDougall, Bernadette (née Lawson) MacDougall, her brothers Stuart MacDougall (Helen), Garnet MacDougall (Edna), George MacDougall (Frances) and her sisters Marguerite Stafford (Bud), Grace Elder (Emerson) and Inez (Dr. Graham Ronan). Marion possessed a work ethic to be emulated. She was a proud elementary school teacher and partner in business with her husband Charles, who together brought the A&W Restaurant and Kentucky Fried Chicken Franchises to Cornwall. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Center for their excellent care, kindness and compassion. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lahaie and Sullivan Funeral Home, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482). In keeping with Marion’s Funeral prearrangement cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will take place at a later date.
