Michael George Labelle
1966 – 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Labelle on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Cornwall Community Hospital, at the age of 58. He was the beloved husband of Julie Villeneuve for over 27 years and a loving father to Ayla Clarice Labelle. Mike will be fondly remembered by his soon-to-be-adopted guide dog, Blanco, his brother Daniel Labelle (Lisa Hartle-Labelle), his nephew Lucas Labelle, and his niece Cassia Labelle. He was predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Marie Claire Labelle (née DeSerres).
Mikey was a certified machinist for 28 years at Beavers Dental in Morrisburg, where he earned the respect and admiration of everyone he worked with. His warmth and sense of humor made him a beloved colleague and friend. In recent years, Mike discovered the world of 3D printing, which became a hobby he thoroughly enjoyed. He also loved hockey, golf, and crafting beautiful pieces of woodwork.
Mike’s family invites friends and loved ones to a visitation at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street (613-938-3888) on Sunday, January 12, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Society of Canada.
