AMELL, Mildred Marvelle (Waslew) – Peacefully at St. Joseph Continuing Care Centre, on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at the age of 96. Loving wife of the late Howard Lalonde and the late Hugh Amell. Cherished mother of Bradley Lalonde (Carol) and step-mother of Peter Amell (Nancy) and Sharon Poirier (Andre). Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Sherry Vandekemp (Walter), Brad Lalonde Jr. (Julie), Stacey Mae Beehler (Marc), Catherine Keill-Gow (Gordon), Jeffrey Keill (Teresa), Janis Amell-Crawly (Matthew), Dean Poirier (Michelle) and Lisa Poirier (Alain). Also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, Erika, Lauryn, Kevin, Megan, Jason, Alexa, Jake, Ryan, Alex, Beth, Tyler, Davis, McKenzie, Benjamin, Hunter, Brooklyn and 3 great-great-grandchildren, Ryker, Beckett and Reid. Predeceased by her parents, Rudolph and Anna (Schnurr) Waslew, 4 siblings and 2 granddaughters, Erin and Shannon Amell. Family and friends will be received at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Saturday December 4, 2021 from 9am-10:30am followed by Funeral Liturgy at 10:30am in the Funeral Home Chapel. Attendance will be controlled and face masks are required. Rite of Committal at Notre Dame Cemetery to follow. Mildred remained in her own home until a brief sickness took her to the hospital. The family is grateful and thank Lise for the support she has given mom in the last few years. Many thanks to everyone at the Janet MacDonell Pavilion, CCH emergency and St. Joseph Continuing Care Centre for the great care provided to our mom.
