AKINS, Miriam “Tiny” (née Legue) – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Miriam “Tiny” Akins announces her passing on Friday January 11, 2019 at the Cornwall Community Hospital at the age of 75 years. Beloved and cherished wife of 54 years to Arnold Akins. Loving mother to Shawn Akins (Sue), Jennifer Archambault (Mark), Jeffery Akins (Francine), and Natalie Lalonde (Todd). Devoted Nanny to Ryan, Ashley, Amber, Tyler, Sophie and Genevieve. Loved daughter of the late Ernest and Ethel (née Rouselle) Legue. Dear sister of Jimmy Legue (Lynn), Lillian Legue, and Nora Parker (Mel). Predeceased by her siblings Eddie Legue (June), Irvin Legue (Rae), Garnet Legue (Violet), Margaret Heath (Obrey), Ethel Rusaw (Bill), Leonia Besner (Joe), Janet Weisler (Fred), Violet Parent (Ed), Ernie Legue (Dorleen). Also, survived by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the Wilson Funeral Home 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall where visitation will be held on Thursday from 9-10:45 AM. The Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated in the chapel of the Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday January 17, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Rite of Committal at a later date in Notre Dame Cemetery, Cornwall.
