May 31, 1981 – July 6, 2021

Nathan Crites passed away peacefully at home in Waterford, Ontario on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in his 40th year. Nathan was a unique soul who will be deeply missed by many family and friends. He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife Allyson Ion, his maman Diane Pike (Bob) of Port Dover, and his sister Andréa Hanson (Steve) of Harley. Nathan was predeceased by his father Micheal Crites of Villa Nova. Nathan had many beloved family members in Cornwall especially grand-maman Rita Quesnel (Andy, deceased in 1999), Capt. John and Hélène Tessier, Roderick and Doreen McRae, and Denis and Thérèse Peterson. Nathan will also be fondly remembered by family in Brantford, Kanata, and Simcoe; Jim and Trudy Ion, Megan Ion and Wayne Guilfoil, Michael and Ashley Ion, nieces Mavilyn Ion and Mickara Ion and nephew Merritt Ion. Nathan appreciated nature and enjoyed tending to his garden. He was an excellent chef and was always willing to grill up something special for family and friends. Nathan loved animals especially his cherished dogs Disco, Kia, Ohla and Haze. He was always a jokester whose sense of humour and infectious laugh could light up a room. Nathan was a very proud member of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry Local 67 as a Journeyman Welder. A private service will be held with family. Charitable donations in Nathan’s honour can be made to Forests Ontario or the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society.
