JOHNSTON, Norma Ada – peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Ottawa Heart Institute on Sunday October 13, 2019. Norma (née Tinkess) Johnston of Cornwall; age 82. Beloved wife of the late Everard Thompson Johnston. Cherished mother of Tammy Jodoin (Jacques Leclair), Tracey Chaussi (Pete) and Tim Johnston (Rachael Lalonde). Proud grandmother of Michelle Piquette (Steph), Elise Jodoin, Hillary (Jarret St. John) and Liam Chaussi, Sierra and Emily Johnston and great grandson Kain Lafontaine. Loving sister of Lois McCartney (Eric), Ronald Tinkess (Pat), Perry Tinkess (Carolyn) and Penny McNaughton (Dan). Predeceased by her sister Connie Harris (the late Harold). Dear daughter of the late James Edward Tinkess and the late Mary Evelyn (née Bender) Tinkess. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at LAHAIE & SULLIVAN CORNWALL FUNERAL HOMES WEST BRANCH 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482) on Friday October 18, 2019 from 12 Noon until 2 p.m followed by a Graveside service in Woodlawn Cemetery at 2 p.m. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated by the family.
