Pauline Corine Perras Lemire

Nobody else held us so tight as our precious Mother, Pauline Corine Perras Lemire who passed away suddenly and peacefully of a hemorrhagic stroke at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Friday November 3rd, 2023. With her were her children, grandchildren, best friend, dear cousin and siblings by her side. Mom was 76 in beautiful years. Pauline was born in Cornwall, Ontario on July 7th, 1947 to her late parents Emile Perras and Claire Samson Perras. Pauline built her life with her high school sweetheart and husband, Leonard Lemire of 53 years. Pauline treasured her children and embraced every moment with them, her son Guy Lemire (Amanda) and daughter Chantal Lemire Hartle (Tim). She will be dearly missed by her beloved identical twin sister, Therese (Eddy) Primeau, Jeanine Thibault (Marcel), Charlene Widrick (Lynn), Late Lisette Kyer (Late Jack), her best friend and buddy Sharon Allaire (Richard), brother-like cousin Robert Lebrun (Monique), many brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews. She will forever be missed. The lovely Spirit of Memère lives on in her cherished grandchildren Taylor, Cameron, Veronica, Gratia, Kiersten and great grandchildren Owen and Jordyn. In her last months Pauline also had the great fortune of true friendship with Maurice Latulippe and his family. Pauline worked at Levi’s for many years, Sears department store where she took her retirement at the age of 73 years old. Pauline also volunteered at Glen Stor Dun Lodge and other organizations. She was full of kindness to all whom had the privilege of knowing her. She was vibrant and had a heart of gold. Truly selfless and devoted, all of her energies were dedicated to those she loved. Paulines wishes were to forego traditional funeral rites and to be remembered in a celebration of life which her family will be hosting in early summer of 2024. If interested and wishing to attend please reach out to Chantal at clemire@gmail.com Final arrangements have been entrusted to Basic Funerals and Cremation Choices where expressions of sympathy can be communicated.
