It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Mae Wood, of Trent Valley Lodge, Trenton, and formerly of Greenfield, Ontario, on Friday, December 17, 2021, at the age of 95. Daughter of the late Alfred and Rose deLima St. Denis (Nee Cadieux). Beloved wife of the late Stephen Wood. Cherished mother of Carol McAllister (Peter) of Port Perry, Elizabeth Kerr (Monty) of Nipigon, Nancy Roesler (David) of Belleville, Mary Stewart of Oshawa, Douglas Wood (Christine) of Port Elgin, Robert Wood (Kelly) of Winnipeg, Valerie Pottier (Stephen) of Hampton, Richard Wood (Val) of Brantford, and the late Daniel Wood (Surviving Nikki Wood-Roy) of Thunder Bay. Lovingly remembered by 22 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter as well as many nieces and nephews. Dear sister of Claire Flood (the late Frank), and deceased siblings Emile, Aldoma, Eugene, Donat, Rita, Osie, Edith and Julie. The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff of Trent Valley Lodge for their loving care over the past few years. The family received friends at the Rusnell Funeral Home, 60 Division St., Trenton (613-392-2111) on Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. and again from 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was offered from St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, Trenton, on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Rite of committal prayers to take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery in the spring.
