Peter Watt Leslie
Friday, December 19th, 1930 – Saturday, January 9th, 2021.
It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our Dad, Peter on January 9, 2021 in Cornwall, Ontario at the age of 90. He was the last living family member of his generation for our family. Born in Montreal, Quebec. For the majority of his life, he lived, and worked in St. Hubert, Quebec. A proud professional (Captain) firefighter at the St. Hubert Air Base, as well as a very active member and Chief with the Croydon Volunteer Fire Department.
Peter was pre-deceased by his wife of 56 years, Marjorie (Read), his twin brother David, his younger brother Robert, father Peter Watt Leslie, and mother Mary Galloway Easton. He was the proud father of Ian, Marjorie (Milton Wong), Dorothy (the late Leonard Arnold and the late Edward Martin), and Clifford (Valerie). Loving grandfather to Christopher, Matthew, Andrew, Laura, Alyson, Samantha, Brittany, and Peter. Great grandfather to nine. Peter is remembered with love by many family members and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Peter’s life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carefor Hospice Cornwall for their excellent care and compassion that they provided to our beloved family member.
