Philip Glive

1 November, 1933 – 13 January, 2022

Glive, Philip, went home to meet Jesus on January 13 2022, at the age of 88. He passed away peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital. Philip was born to Ivan and Alice Glive in Montreal. Later in life he moved with his family to Bainsville Ont. And then on to Cornwall. He was the faithful husband to Beverly Glive. They shared many years together as foster parents, blessed to care for the precious children who graced their home. He has gone on to be with his beloved wife Beverly (Bevvie). He will be dearly missed by his son John and daughter Gayle (Rodney). Very proud grandfather to Candice, Farrah, Cody and Joel. Predeceased by siblings Helen, Mary, Ann, Phyllis, Maureen, Francis, Harry, Freddie and Bobby. Survived by his loving brother’s Ronald Glive (Bernadette) and Frankie Steele of Montreal. As a young man Philip sailed many years for the Upper Lake Shipping Company. He went on to work as a tradesman, boilermaker until retirement. Philip will be fondly remembered for his faith, passion for music, love of people, poetry and his Russian heritage. We love you dear Poppy, Paka Paka. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall. Rite of Committal in the spring at the St-Lawrence Valley Cemetery.
