Phyllis MacDonell (MacDonald)
Peacefully at the Maxville Manor in Maxville, Ontario; Phyllis Agnes MacDonell (née MacDonald) at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late John Francis MacDonell (2016) for 56 years. Born in Apple Hill, Ontario then later of Cornwall. Phyllis was a well-respected elementary school teacher in the Cornwall area for 40 years. Survived by her brother Glenn MacDonald, she is predeceased by her parents, Phillip Joseph “Hughie Phillip” MacDonald and Mary Bell MacLennan, also by siblings Norma Pulfer, Roseal Bentley, Hazel Casgrain and Hugh Allan McDonald. Phyllis’ kindness and generosity will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. Many thanks to the extraordinarily kind and attentive staff of the Maxville Manor for their excellent care. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. South, Maxville (613-527-2898) on Friday, October 18 from 9:30 to 11:30 am. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, October 18 at 11:30 am. Interment following in St Anthony’s Parish Cemetery, Apple Hill. A lunch will follow at the parish hall. Memorial donations may be made to the Maxville Manor Foundation or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. As a Memorial to Phyllis, a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows – memories live.
