Reina Yvonne Fontaine (Groulx)
Wednesday, October 27th, 1937 – Friday, December 17th, 2021
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Reina (née Groulx) Fontaine peacefully in Cornwall on Thursday December 16th, 2021 at the age of 84 years. Reina was born in Cornwall, October 27, 1937, the youngest of the four children of Romeo Groulx and Simone Menard.
Reina was predeceased by her husband Roger Fontaine, her brother Rheal Groulx (Pauline) and sister Lucille Brisson (Leo). She is survived by elder sister Annette Charron (Regent) along with her two daughters, Colette Watson and Diane Lalonde (Daniel Blanchette), as well as 5 grandchildren: Joelle Ann Blanchette (Dorian Dupuis), Mickael Blanchette (Jeohanie Vezina), Martin Blanchette (Caroline Bisson), Laura Watson (Angelo Esposito) and James Watson. Reina had six beautiful great grandchildren and another one on the way.
She also leaves behind a special niece and big sister to her girls Denise Daigneault (Claude) and great nieces Michelle Daigneault (Brianna Rawson) and Danielle Daigneault (Jamie DeWolfe). Missing Reina dearly will be her very close friend and niece Lillian Stang. Also marking her loss will be her many nieces and nephews and the Lalonde family who cared for her deeply.
Controlled visitation will be held Monday, December 27th, 2021 at the Boulerice Funeral Home, 218 Montreal Road, Cornwall from 11am to 1pm. Funeral ceremony will begin at 1pm. in the Chapel of the Funeral Home. Masks are required.
