Rhéal “Ray” Gauthier
Friday, September 25th, 1931 – Wednesday, January 6th, 2021.
Ray passed peacefully at home after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimers. Beloved husband of Maureen Gauthier (Dufresne) for the past 49 years. He was born in Cornwall, Ontario, a kind and gentle man who cherished his wife and family. Dear father of Rachel Holden (Dr David Holden), Liette Bagwell, Step father of Lucy Levere Bernhardt (Duncan MacIntyre), Glenda Levere – McCormick (Patrick), father – in law to Nancy Gauthier (Robert Peters). Pepere to Zachary and Emilie Gauthier (Fabien Clément Lynch), Shelby MacIntyre, Breanne McCormick (Steve Benson), Courtney McCormick, John-David Holden (Amanda), Thomas Holden (Smita), Ashley and Blake Bagwell. Brother of Gloria Cotter (Norman), Jeanne Leger (Jacques), Godfather to Darryl Andre (Joe Courtney). Great grandfather to Lucie Rae Clément Lynch, Gwendolyn Holden, Maia Holden and Mon Oncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his beloved son Gilles Gauthier, parents William Gauthier and Ernestine Gauthier (Delorme), brother Rolland (Rolly) Gauthier (Florida). Special thank you to Dr. Menon and nurses on the palliative team, the Bayshore PSW’s , special mention to Ashley, Steve and Kendra. Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
