It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rheal Samson on Friday, December 17th, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre at the age of 100 years. Beloved husband for 79 years to late Irene Samson. Loving father of Rita Huot of Cornwall, Ronald Samson (Denise) of Cornwall, Suzanne Pettinella (Sergio) of Cornwall, Gerry Samson (Patricia) of Beaverton and Claude Samson (Nicole) of Ottawa. Cherished grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Soeur Marie Samson Congrégation Notre-Dame of Montreal, Quebec. He is predeceased by his parents; Auguste Samson et Rosina Samson (Valade), his daughter Elaine Samson-Scullion (Martin); his brothers; Robert Samson, Joseph Samson and Ovila Samson and by his sisters; Leona Lascelle, Thérèse Graham, and Ida Bard. Proof of vaccination will be required to attend the visitation at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888) on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 10 a.m. Followed by interment at Notre-Dame Cemetery.Masks and physical distancing are required at all gatherings.
