At the Cornwall Community Hospital on December 29, 2021. Richard Baird of Cornwall; age 84. Beloved husband of the late Gisele Baird (Poirier). Esteemed father of Susan Baird (husband Ralph Awrey) of Toronto and Tim (wife Z) of Pawling, New York. Proud grandfather of Benjamin, Matthew and Adam. Cherished brother of the late Ann Semple (late husband Richard). Dear son of the late Frank Baird and the late Mildred O’Brien.
Richard was a long-time mathematics teacher at C.C.V.S. and an avid Life Master Bridge player. He enjoyed camping, hiking and skiing adventures with his family and splitting his retirement time between his chalet in Lake Placid, New York and home in Cornwall. Burial arrangements entrusted to LAHAIE & SULLIVAN CORNWALL FUNERAL HOMES, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482).
