LEROUX, Richard – Richard Charles Leroux of Cornwall, born on March 26, 1943 passed away peacefully on June 18, 2021 surrounded by his loving children at the Cornwall Community Hospital. He will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humour, dedication to his family and friends, his generosity and his welcoming nature. Such a compassionate and strong man, he reflected this in everything he did. A dedicated and proud employee of 38 years at the Hotel Dieu Hospital. Dad truly embraced happiness. His wit and ability to make people laugh will always be remembered. His love for music and playing his guitar will leave us all with lasting memories.
Loving husband of the late Therese Leroux (née Beauchemin). Loving father to Charles (Roxanne), Marc (Rachelle), Denise (Paul), and Lucille (Pierre). Predeceased by one son, Roger. Cherished Pepere to Ryan, Brianna, Elizabeth, Ian, Stephanie, Nolan, Cory, Tiffany, Courtney, Michael, Bradley, Renee, and Hayley. Cherished Poppy to Roger. Dear brother of Maurice (Joyce), Laurette, Denise, and Claude. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Yvette (née Boulerice) Leroux.
Cremation has taken place. Controlled attendance visitation will be held at Wilson Funeral Home, 218 Montreal Road, on Thursday June 24, 2021 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. A private funeral ceremony and interment at Notre Dame Cemetery will follow. Those wishing to attend the visitation or funeral must call the funeral home at 613-938-3888 to reserve a time.
