It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Ronald MacDonald on Friday, July 30, 2021 at his residence at the age of 69 years. Beloved husband for 47 years of Louise MacDonald (née Crites). Loving father of Kimmy MacDonald and Andrew MacDonald both of Cornwall. Cherished grandfather of 8 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Ken MacDonald and Brian MacDonald both of Cornwall and Joyce MacDonald (Bob) of Kingston. Richard is predeceased by his parents; the late James MacDonald and the late Marie MacDonald (née Longtin) and by one brother; James MacDonald. In keeping with Richard’s wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at the Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, Thursday August 5, 2021 from 2-4 & 7- 9 PM and Friday August 6th, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. The Funeral will take place in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home on Friday August 6th, 2021 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. Masks and physical distancing are required at all gatherings. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
