It is with profound sadness that the family announces the accidental passing of Rita Trottier at the Queensway Carleton Hospital on Friday, June 27, 2025 at the age of 100 years.
Beloved wife of the late Armand “Buck” Trottier for over 69 years.
Loving mother of Colette Summerville (late Jimmy) and Darquise Trottier (Mike Patrinos) as well as bonus mother to Bruce Jackson. Treasured grandmother Jean, Michelle and Mélanie. Proud great-grandmother of Jessica, Richard and Orion and great-great-grandmother of Mya.
Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Exmerilda (née Bercier) Legault, her sons Serge and Alain, her daughter Suzette (late Bernard), her brothers Lucien (late Adrienne), Leo (late Armande), Emile (late Agathe) and Bruno (late Jeannine) as well as her sisters Simone (late Philippe), Lucille (late Rheal) and Lucia (late Laurent).
The family will be in attendance at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN CORNWALL FUNERAL HOMES, 20 Seventh St West (613-932-8482) on Friday, July 11, 2025 from 11:00 am until the time of service. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home Memorial Chapel at 1:00 pm.
