Rita Lapierre (Chretien)
Tuesday, May 11th, 1943 – Friday, January 22nd, 2021.
Peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with lung disease, at Hospice Cornwall on Friday, January 22, 2021. It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of Rita Chretien-Lapierre of Martintown; age 77 years. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Renaud. Dear mother of James Lapierre (Brenda Richardson) and Gale Lapierre. Predeceased by her parents Paul and Delia Chretien (née Periard) and siblings Robert (Audrey), Hector (Michelle) and Murielle Ferguson (Ken). Dear sister of Shirley Chretien (late Brian Whitworth) and Yvonne Pilon (Alcide ‘Chink’). Also survived by four grandchildren Shelby, Bradley, Ryan and Ashley; and by 6 great-grandchildren Aiden, Emma, Ava, Jacob, Maisie and Asher. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. “Rest in peace mom, your battle is over, you will always be in our hearts.”
Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak Street, Lancaster (613-347-3629). Due to COVID-19 protocols, a private visitation and Liturgy of the Word will take place. Spring burial in St. Raphael’s Catholic cemetery.
