MCGILLIVRAY, Robert Charles- Former owner of Anchor Motel & Steak House and former employee of CIL. At the Cornwall Community Hospital on Sunday, July 26, 2020. He was 82. Loving father of Terry (Debbie), Jymie (Kim) and Stacey Gibeau. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Adam, Megan, Matthew, Drewe, Joshua, Serena and Annie and 3 great-grandchildren. Companion of Lois Dewar. Survived by his brother, James (Pat) and his sisters, Helen Blahat (late Alex), Elizabeth Parsons (late George) and Hariet Murphy (Joe). Robert is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, William and Elizabeth (Newlands) McGillivray, his brother, William “Alex” (late Elsie) and his sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Crawford (Eddie) and Jean Butters (late Allen). Due to the COVID-19 restrictions a private family gathering will be held. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Hospice Cornwall would be appreciated by the family.
