Murphy, Robert –At the Cornwall Community Hospital on Thursday, February 6, 2020. He was 75. Robert graduated in 1970 from the Paul Smith College, Saranac Lake, NY with a degree in Hotel Management. Founder & previous owner of Murphy’s Inn and former owner of the Glengarrian Pub & Restaurant.
Beloved husband of Anita Savage. Loving father of Steeve, Myrrya (Jonny), Tara (Ryan) and Jonathan. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Holly and Quinn. Survived by his sister Mary Jane and his niece Marie-Audrey. Predeceased by his parents, Edward and Jeanne Murphy (Pilon) and his siblings Eugene, John, Gerald and Edward. Family and friends will be received at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street from 2-4pm & 7-9pm on Wednesday. Family and friends are requested to assemble at St-Francis de Sales Catholic Church at 11:00 am on Thursday February 20th for Funeral Mass. Committal at St-Louis de Gonzague Québec Cemetery at a later date.
