Roger passed peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Saturday January 1st, 2022, at the age of 90. Predeceased by his loving wife Barbara (2016). He was the terrific father of Dan (Dhane), Kathy (Lou), Mike (Brenda), Timothy (Jules), the late Shawn (2018) and Chris. Cherished grandfather of Liz, Nick and Ryan. Son of the late Edelma, and the late Ubald. Brother of the late Fernand (late Antonine), the late Léo (late Carmen), the late Charlie (late Loretta), the late Edouard (late Monica), the late Lucille (late Donald), the late Marcel (late Violette) and Thérèse (late Vincent). Brother-in-law of Gail (David), the late Maureen (late Kent) and Corinne. Roger will be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Roger enjoyed a long career at Bell Canada and retired 37 years ago. His passion has always been music. In the 50s and 60s, Roger sang professionally at venues throughout the Montreal area, and most notably was featured on the CBC radio show “Sweet and Sour”. Throughout the 70s, Roger ran his own DJ company, “Disco Dance”, providing entertainment for weddings and parties.
Family and friends are invited to Roger’s celebration of life, tentatively planned for Saturday, June 18, 2022, between 11am-1pm in Lancaster, Ontario (Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak Street, 613-347-3629) – please RSVP at roger_celebration@outlook.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to The Kidney Foundation of Canada or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
